With the 90 km long reservoir of the Koyna backwaters right at the doorstep, boating is one of the most popular activities you can enjoy at Jalsrushti. Picturesque spots like Bamnoli Island and Triveni Sangam are visited during boating trips, and water sports such as water scooters and kayaking are available. If nothing else, swimming in the boundless waters of Tapola Lake, guarded by the Sahyadris, is a special experience.

Treks to Vasota, Kedareshwar and more

There are many trekking options near Jalsrushti, like Kedareshwar Temple and Utteshwar Temple, best enjoyed in the post-monsoon season. Tapola is also the base camp for one of the most exhilarating treks in Maharashtra — Vasota.

Vasota Fort lies within the Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary, completely cut off from civilisation, and can be reached only by boat. Permission to visit has to be obtained from the wildlife department at Bamnoli. The Nageshwar caves lie on the way up to the fort.
